OLD FRIENDS.
Iron Bux, Andre Dupre and Jim Cartlidge,
Through the application of Mr. J.; Brook, Iron Bux (the "Hong Kong boy" pugilist and ex-bantam cham- pion) is to appear in two mainį events at Saigon, Indo-China, under the management of Andre Dupre (ex-featherweight champion of France) who drew with and lost to Jim Cartlidge in Hong Kong.
Bux is to fight once each week, transportation paid, $300 payment each, win, lose or draw. He will meet a middleweight and then a light-heavyweight and his many
friends in Hong Kong wish him good luck.
Dupre is now in Saigon, having established a gymnasium. He teaches boxing arid occasionally acte as promoter-cum-boxer.
Stoker Petty Officer Jim Cartlidge, who left the Royal Naval Yard for Home Inst year, was lightweight champion here. He has been pro- moted Chief Stoker Petty Officer
and has gone back to his old job in the Naval physical training school, being the only one of his rank to serve in the capacity of trainer.
