WEEKS REPAIRS?

"EMPRESS OF CANADA".

• DAMAGE.:"

4 14

ARRIVES THIS MORNING,

The s.s. "Empress of Canada," which was involved in a collision with a Japanese collier when on tering Shanghat on her southwards trip, arrived in Hong Kong this morning and proceeded to Taikoo where a survey will be made of the damage to her bows.

The demago, although not no con- aiderable as was first thought, will necossitate a two weeks' overhaul it le thought. The exact extent of it, it is not possible to give, until the survey is completed.

So far as can be gathered, "the "Canada" may leave Inter for the Mahila voyage or it is just possible that she may leave Hong Kong direct for the North (possibly about the 30th Inst.)
