SHANGHAI'S FUTURE.
America's Neutralization Scheme.
INTERFERENCE RESENTED.
Emphatic Statement Issued by Sun Chuan-fang.
The North China Daily News" has been handed a copy of the statement Issued by Marshal Sun Chuan-fang in connection with the proposal put forward by the United States Government for the neutralization of Shanghai. The statement acknowledges that, the suggestion arose from a sincere desire to assist China, but alleges. that President Coolidge has been fully informed on the situation in Shanghai.
Marshal Sun continues that the Government of the Kiangsu Province resente discussion of any plans as regards Shanghai with any revolutionary army and describes any effort to place limitations upon his side as an act of intervention on behalf of the enemy. After denouncing the activities of the Third International in China, Mar- shal Sun announces that China must fight them as a plague is fought, and after foretelling his ultimate success in the struggle 'concludes with "Let no one interfere with it who seeks the welfare of China."
