The vessel has many new features in addition to the spacious accom- modation which has been provided for first and second class pas- sengers. There are large public Tooms situated
on the bridge deck, while the captain's offi cary! and: engineers! esbing Eave been constructed OX R. level with the flying bridge. At cach end of the boat deck accom- madation is provided for three wireless operators. This is one of the latest plans of having all ships" ofcers and engineers berthed in houses above passenger accommo- dation so that the whole of the beat deck is allocated for officers' quarters.
This is as it should be. for in olden days 6eers were confined in smalt cabins which added greatly to their discomfort in tropical climates, whereas now they will be clear of all passenger and cargo traffle. Moreover, an excellent.cr vie of ventilation known as the "Punkah Louvre" system will keep all the rooms throughout the ship cool.
