SENTENCE OF DEATH.
In the witnes box. yesterday afternoon, the "Chinese prisoner charged with the murder of an- other in the Western Market: affray, stated that he was aware of, none of the incidents deposed. to by the Crown witnesses. Before passing sentence-of death, Hia Lordship informed pri soner that on the facts which had been proved he considered there was "ample justification for the verdict the Jury had returned.
