GEN. LUDENDORFF NEW NYK. OFFICE. VON BISSING'S BAN.

REVELATIONS AFTER A

SECRET LAWSUIT.

AS TAX-DODGER,

Berlin, July 25. The revela- tion that General Ludendorff, the German National leader, attempt ed to send his personal fortune out of the country in 1922, when the export of capital was forbid- den, followed an action which he brought against Herr Adolf, Borchardt, his banker.

It appears that the 'general, eager to save the small fortune which accrued from his post-war literary activities, instructed his barker to remit his money abroad, and to purchase for him gilt edged foreign securities.

The general's plan was detected' after one or two remittances were made to a Swiss bank, which sub- sequently went bankrupt, and his fortune disappeared during the inflation

General Ludendorff sted the banker for the money which had thus been lost. and although the trial was held in camera the affair leaked out." The former military idol of Germany is said to have now no other means than his pension..
