Praise from the crowd al Saturday's races-the third extra meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club Heason was equally bestow- ed on the kindness of the weather at the appropriate moment, and the excellent sport provided.
Just on mid-day, the sun came out nicely, making it an ideal day for summer racing.
Although
the crowd was small, ladies were present in fair numbers, their dresses, for the hot weather, land ing a delightful touch of colour to the scéne.
Fields might have been smaller. The sport was enjoyed, especial- Jy as there was an upset or tw in form to counterbalance-the- small dividends when favourites came home.

The racing programme was carried through without a hitch and "the I/East Surreys Band discoursed excellent music.
Racing honours went to Mr. T. W. Doyle who rode three win- ners and a third for Messrs. "Hall and Shenton and a first for Mr. R. M. Austin. Messrs. Hall and Shenton also had another first and second, ridden by Mr. Ralph who still as a novice," did very well. Mr. Austin claimed a second place. for his stable as well.
Saligia, by winning the Aggre- gate Stakes for the third time in succession, annexes the Cup for the senson, irrespective of the re- sult of the two races to come in the autumn.

As usual, Dobbin van first but the Lost to Edo and Kitajima 47. first half mile was done at a pace Lost to Tanaka and Naka- that could not be sustained.
