The

double-breasted jacket which will be worn by men this summer is a trifle different from last year's model It has a new. high lapel, which must roll softly. These lapels are more square. even though shorter. This and the point at which they break or roll changes the whole front of the jacket.

Further, the placing of the buttons wider apart is necessitat- edi because of a broader cross-over of the double-breasted front. Shoulders are square, with plenty of width across the chest.. The jacket is never too waisted or tight fitting, yet the lines of the figure are followed.

In the single-breasted jacket the chief change is the wider placing of the three buttons on the front, with the double-breast- ed lapel rolling soft, but not below the top button. This jacket is generally worn with a double- breasted waistcoat, which has very heavy lapels and a straight waist-line, reminiscent of the waistcoats worn in the days of the dandies.
