NAVY "A" BEAT HOCKEY

CLUB 2ND...

FORWARD'S SPECTACULAR. GOAL.

One of the best shots for goal was made in the local hockey season in the H.K.H.C. 2nd XI v. Royal Navy "A" match yesterday afternoon, the senior service win- ning by 3 goals to 1.

The first half was played on the new ground at King's Park and a very short" second session followed on the U.S.R.C. ground. The new pitch shows promise of being good next season but is at present rough.

Fielding a strong side the Navy had the larger share of the game, their forwards playing particu- larly well.

Two short for about 20 minutes the Club team numbered ter with the arrival of a late-comer.

Numerical superiority allowed Franklin, the Naval centre-half, to become a spare forward as the Club attack comprised only four *forwards.
