Inzake no apology for starting the averages and records so early in the season. It is accepted that statistics are not a true reflec- tion of the results-1 have written before at considerable length on this phase-but figures do provide a certain amount of interest. The working of them will have to be done sooner or later and an early start obviates catching up later on. Only league matches are taken into secount.
