TOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Nic Extraordinary Gen- eral Meeting of China Provident

Limited, will be held at the offices. of Messrs. Shewan, Tomes and Company, the General Managers of the said Company on Wednes 'day, the 23rd day of September, 1925, at 11 o'clock in the fore- noon, when the subjoined Resolu tions will be proposed as Extra- ordinary Resolutions:-

(1) That the authorised capital

of the Company (which is now $6,000,000 consisting of 800,000 shares of the nominal value of $10 each of which 506,247 have been issued) be Increased to $7,600,000 by the creation of 150,000 addi- tional shares of the nominal value of $10 each ranking (subject as hereinafter men- tioned) for dividend and in all other respects pari passu with the shares constituting the Company's present issued capital.

(2) That it is desirable to effect

an amalgamation of the Com pany with the Hongkong Tug and Lighter Company, Limited, and that according- ly (subject to the approval of a Special Resolution of the shareholders of that Com«? pany but not otherwise) the draft Agreement submitted to this meeting and express- ed to be made between that. Company and its Liquidator. of the one part and this Com pany of the other part be hereby approved and that the General Managers of this.
