American Doubles Success.

In the fourth round of the men's doubles, Casey and Hennessey beat the Britishers Crawford and Fisher, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 and enter the semi-final.

The Americans hardly warmed up, defeating Crawford and Fisher very easily, Casey had a terrific service and Hennessey was very nimble in his net-work. The Britishers were helpless in three sets out of four and tired out. Both were, comparatively, feeble

servers.

In the semi-final of the ladies' doubles Mrs. Bridge and Mrs. Mellquham beat Lambert Cham- bera and Miss Harvey, 6-1, 2-6, 6-1.
