On asking accused to show his ticket, he said that he had a monthly ticket and later took out his purse in which was a ticket, only a part of which was visible. Outlining his case, Mr. Turner said that the defendant persisted in making herself objectionable by throwing offensive matter and water on the floor and staircase which dripped througly the boards, causing inconvenience to his client and damaging her clothing. On

It transpired, in evidence that defendant was.confined in a room for attempting to get away to Tonkin without permission but escaped from her temporary prison by means of a key which fitted the lock.
The complainant later said that he did not wish to press the case, and the defendant was discharged with a caution.
