HONGKONG TIDE.
The tide-table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Basin at Taim Sha Taul during the years 1908-9.

e zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Ad miralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet 8 inches below mean sea-level.
To obtafa the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard Lament Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet. add 8 feet 4 inebes, and on the gange at
4 inches to the height given in the table.
