4. In the first three months of 1023 the contracts signed amounted to $220,000 for pri- vate work and $170,000 for Government Work. The corres- ponding figure for 1924 was $310,000 all private.

During the first three months. of this year the contracts sign- ed have amounted to about $40,000 only, but our works in progress, exclusive of Govern- mept contracts, exceed $1,000,000.

The answer to the second part of this question, is "Yes." There has been no appreciable loss on any contract except those made with the Govern- ment.
