TOW-BOAT FOUNDERS..
AT ENTRANCE, TO MACAO HARBOUR.

MACAO, January 9.
On Wednesday, the regular tow- boat from Hongkong foundered st the entrance to Macao inner harbour after a trying journey across.
As the tow-boat does not carry passengers, only the crew and one, or two supercargoes were on board, Owing to the junk, going down close to the water-front they all reached land in safety.
A strong gale was blowing as she was making her way round the Fort. It is thought that she was blown out of her course and, there fore, hit the harbour bottom,
This tow-boat. plies regularly between the two ports, carrying considerable cargo. On the last trip she had a cargo of peanuts 'for an oil pressing firm and 'some timber.
