HONGKONG TIDE.

The tide-table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysts of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Basin at Tsim Sha Taui during the years 1908-9.

The zero of the table

table corresponds with the kero of the sounding in the Ad- miralty, Chart, which has been found to be 4 foot 8 inches below mean sea-level.

To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 8 feet 4 inches, and on the guugo at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 4 inches to the height given in the table.
