These remain firm and were gen-On erally advanced in gympathy with the rise in the raw material. Yarn prices are practically unchanged. All the India buying centres are quiet at present, which is an un- usual feature: only odd lots of whites and dhooties have been söld but there is also a small enquiry for light goods and fancies. From China there is only occasional business in greys and whites. Java and Singapore have con- tributed small miscellaneous lots. For Egypt and the Near East the recent improvement in buying has now died down again. For South America and the Afrienn markets business has been fair.
