The tide-table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Offco In London from, the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Hasin" at Tsim Sha Toul

during the years 1908-8. The zer

zete of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Ad- miralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet 8 inches below sean sea-level To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 8 feet 4 inches, and on the gange at Lamont Dock, "Aberdeen, add 10 feet inches to the height given in the table.
