Many friends attended the wedding of Mr. F. X. Monteiro, to Miss Celsa Maria Medina, ward of Mr. J. H. Lawrence, who gave the bride away, which took place on Saturday at the Rosary Church, Kowloon, the Rev. Father Spada officiating.
Mrs. J. H. Lawrence, gowned in black silk lace over heliotrope satin with black picture hat with black plume, acted as Matron of honour. The bridesmaids were Miss Pepita Lawrence and Miss Marie Baretto who were dressed in white brocaded silk with crinolene straw hats trimmed with roses and corded ribbon streamers, whilst Miss Vivienne Lawrence as, flower girl was to plak pale georgette and carried a basket of pink roses..
The bride's dress was of Ivory satin duchesse trimmed with rich chantilly lace in crinoline style with pleated tulle veils, chantilly lace skirt, the bodice of silver tissue having around the waist, a girdle of silver bugles while a cluster of orange blossoms. and streamers of silver ribbon was poised on the shoulder, its satin train also hanging from the should- er, Ribbon, and brange blossoms contributed a dainty finish to the latter. She wore a fiae Brussels net lace vell and carried a bouquet of tea roses, and with maiden hair ferns decorated with tulle and satin str.amers:
The groom was attended by Mr. Pedro V Botelho as best man; After the ceremony a reception was held at the Club de Recreto, where the usual toasts wore cordially received.
