HONGKONG TIDE.
The tide-table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Odige In London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Basin at Telm Sha Taui during the yeara 1008-9.
The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Ad- miralty Chart, which has been found to ba 4 feet 3 inches below mean sea-lovsl. To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 3 feet 4 inches, and or the gauge at Lamont. Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 4 inches to the height given in the table.
