FURTHER CHARGES AGAINST SOLICITORS' CLERKS.
UNEXPECTED DEVELOP.
MENT.
An unexpected development eccurred in what hus been described as "the Solicitors' clerks ense" when it came up on reftand at the Magistracy this. morning as two additional charges were preferred; and two other names were mentioned, one of them being Ho Sai-lok, a son of Mr. Ho Kom- teng, the well known banker. It will be recalled that at the initial hearing Ho Sni-18k had been named firstly as complainant and latterly as informant.
Considerable argument took piuce as to Ho Sai-lok's status in this case of alleged forgery and 'conspiracy.
Mr. E. Davidson of the firm of Messrs. Hastings. Dennys and Bowley-employers of Lo Shun- fan and Cheung Pui-chuen alias Charles Kent. who were charged first and whose bail was reduced from a very large sum to the Cominual amounts of $500-sug- Yoang Tailor, No. 14, Jueen's preferentially dealt with when it gested that Ho Sai-lok had been Road Central, Hongkong.
