A link with the reign of George III. was severed last month when the death took place of Mrs. Edward Stopford, of Falconere Hill. Daventry, at the age of 106 | years und 11 months, She was Julia Maria, daughter of Capt. Willian Wilbraham, R.N., ; and was born on September 2, 1818, more than a year before the death of George III on January 29, 1820. She married, on August 6, 1840, Capt. Edward Stopford, R.N., who was the sixth son of Canon the Hon. R. H. Stopford, a grandson of the second Earl of Courtown, and the brother of Admiral R, T. Stopford and of Mr. W. B. Stopford. Sackville, Faptain Btopforded on October 74. 1805. Mrs. Stopford leaves one daughter. Edith Louisa, who in the widow of Admiral Sir W. R. Kennedy, G.C.B. Her elder son, Lieutenant-Colonel H. KE Stopford, late 36th Regiment, died her in December, 1895, and younger
