WIFE AND HUSBAND DEAD.

London, August 16-Captain T. J. R. Geddes, a young Indian Army officer on leave, and his wife, Joan, died after being shot in dramatic circumstances in their Aat in Gordon-chambers, Jermyn- street, Piccadilly, W.

Near the man's body was found a bloodstained, note addressed to "Foan." It read:

%

Dear Joan, By the time you receive this note I will have killed myself. I love you more than ever I did. Please don't take this matter to heart-Roy..

Captain Geddes, according to the Army List, was A D.C. to Sir Frank Sly, Governor of the Central Provinces, India, and both he and his wife were due to return to India by the P. and O. steamer "Mulbera."

Soon after 10 am, a shot was-heard-and-Mrs-Geddes rushed from her room on the second floor of Gordon-chambers and told the wife of the steward of the flats that Captain Geddes had shot, himself. The woman tried to comfort her, but Mrs. Geddes, saying repeatedly. "Leave me alone," went back to her room.

A second revolver shot was daylight on her return (Weather and will be payable at the Hongkong heard, and when the steward of .. permitting).
