The seed gown by Tani bore, fruit, and to-day, writes E. J. | Harrison in the "Evening Standard", though in London the fashionable cruze for ju-jutsu long ngo passed away, there is a steadily growing band of carnest students, Both old and young, men and women, who are able, under the supervision of competent instruc-| tors, to practise the falls, throws, grips, bone-locks, and choke-locks which go to make up the disabling repertoire of the ju-jutsu aystem."
The popularisation of ju-jutsu` in London owes much to the dis interested exertions of Mr. G. Koizumi, a Japanese business man, who, himself a highly gifted amateur, devotes nearly all his leisure to the management of d school which he opened some years ago near Victoria, Here, exactly as in Japan, ju-jutsu is practised. on Japanese mats, called "tatami," of extra strength and durability.
