Juggler Hussain, a tall, pleasant Indian, in white trousers and a red tunis land, turban, is London's newest comedian,
"Ah, by Gad!" he" exclaims, as he looks with horrur upon a mem-" ber of the audience," one rupee in the nose, ch?" He thereupon extracts same-and keeps it."
He is assisted by a patriarchal gentleman with a grey beard and an air of tired wisdom. Together they make magic with all manner of things, keeping up a flow of back-chat in half a dozen languages,
One of his tricks is decidedly puzzling. He takes a long red scarf. A member of the audience cuts it into six or seven pieces: Hussain tears pieces out of it, and finally puts a match to several of the ends. The scarf is now ruined. He wraps the torn and burned fragments round the hands of a member of the audience, and plays a golden bagpipe over it. He then says,. One, two, three-seven- teen-ninety-thirty-seven,
and connts in French, Italian, and one or to other languages. The magic is potent, and the scarf is restored to its original whole in full sight of the audiencе.
Then there are the Tibetans, who dance to music which is rather like a thunderstorm in a corrugat- ed iron store full of ghosts. Ap official gives ready assurance that there are no women in the troupe. One of them certainly looks like a woman, but all doubt, is removed when "she" begins to sing.
