NEW YORK, May 20 Newspapers in the metropolis are unanimons In condemning the Soldiers' Bonus. Bill estimating that it entails an expenditure of about four billion dollars and opens the way for numberless further demands for largess benefit for special groups at the expanse of the whole people.
The Herald predicts another four years' term If President Coolidge were to keep up the fight against such extravagance and praises his courage in exercising the veto.
The Times says the world on the other side of the party line will ridicule law 'makers who expect to go before the country and sustain Mr. Coolidge's candidacy for presidency but fail to render him loyal support where most needed, nadiely in Congress.
