ALLEGED PEAK TRAM FRAUDS.
TICKET MALPRACTICES DISCOVERED.
"GOING ON FOR MANY YEARS."
Chinese Conductors Reported Missing... Quite a sensation has followed" the disappearance of several con- ductors, from the Peak Tramways and the resignation of two foreign inspectors. As a sequel to long investigations it has been found that there has been some malpractice with regard to the issuance of tickets and this has necessitated the retirement of several employees by the Tramways. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of at least one conductor.
