Guild's Letters To Government.

. In accordance with the decision arrived at by the combined meeting of the China Coast Officers' Guild and the Marine Engineers' Guild of China, Mr. T. T. Laurenson (assistant Secretary of the former) has forwarded us for publication copies of the letters which passed between the Guilds and the Government on the subject of the new piracy regulations.

OBJECTIONS STATED.

It was written on September 12, some days after the draft regula- tions had been received from the Government and discussed, and it states:-
