WASHINGTON, January 30. President Coolidge has appointed Mr. Thomas W. Gregory Democrat Attorney-General under President Wilson, and Mr. Silas H. Strawn (Republican), a prominent Chicago lawyer, as counsel to prosecute persons concerned in the Teapot Dome. oil case on behalf of the Government.

Auderson, New York State Super intendent of the Anti-Saloon League, convicted on both cpunts of an indictment charging him with forgery in the third degree. Anderson, who was the moving spirit of the Anti- Saloon League, possessing almost autocratic powers, In testi- fying on his own behalf told an amazing story of how a mysterious stronger, whose name he thought was King, some years ago gave him $25,000. Anderson used the money for League purposes and subsequently recompensed himself out of League funds, and, incidentally, made entries in the books which formed the subject of the present charge.]
