The executive of the City of London Conservative. Association has issued a statement which says that if a Conservative Government supported by Liberals is unattain- | able, it hopes in the interests of the nation that the Conservative mem- bers of the House of Commons will support a Liberal administration. It says the administration of the country in these critical times by an inexperienced Government of extreme views would be highly injurious to the nation in domestic and foreign policies.
It is understood that, Mr. Baldwin in replying to the Association's representations expressed the opinion that in view of Mr.Asquith's speech it was scarcely possible to approach him as the Association had suggested. It is expected, how- ever, that Mr. Baldwin will submit these representations to his Cabinet colleagues.

The tide table giver bolow has been' compiled at the National Almans Office in Loudon from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic fide-recording machine in the Water Police Basin af Tsim She Trai daring the years 1008.0.
The toro of the table corresponds with the zers of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be fest
inches below zusan soa-laval.
To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 8.00 4 inches, and on the gango at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet inches to the height given in the table.
