The only further nows of the Mexican revolution available is a despatch from the American Chargé d'Affaires at Mexico City enclosing a report received from the British Canaul at Vera Cruz; stating that the Commander-in-Chief of the Mexican Federal forces was there supported by Mexican Naval forces and that the Vers Cruz State Government had been deposed.

ROME, December 8. In the Senate the Finance Minister showed that great improve- ments in the national finances were proceeding. Commitments during the first five months of the current fiscal year were not only substan- tially below the estimates, but receipts were substantially higher. The Minister estimated that for the fiscal year 1924-5 the deficit would be over seven hundred million liro, compared with an actual deficit of three thousand million in 1922-3.
