· The attention of the Telephone Company has been drawn to the fact that several complaints have been received by the Association regarding the inattention paid to subscribers in Kowloon. In reply the Company has stated that as a result of the typhoon on August 18, the main submarine cable carrying the junction lines between the Kowloon and Central Exchanges was so badly damaged that only a restricted serviso could be main- tained. Further, that the typhoon wrought such havoc with the out- side plant that it was extremoly difficult during an abnormal põriod, to maintain a normal service.
