Mrs Irene Loechner,

Mrs. Irene Loechner was badly beaten up by Mrs. Louise Kaem- mer, in Chicago, after Mr. Kaemmer had talked in his sleep and told of their love affair. Since the fight Mrs. Loechner and Kaemmer havo disappeared, and it is reported they have eloped. Mrs. Loechner is the mother of three children and Kaemmer the father of three more.

Upon his return from England, where he was admitted to the London bar in order to argue a case of war claims in which the United States was the defendant, Solicitor-General James M. Beck called on President Coolidge at the White House to discuss the situation in Europe. He closeted with Mr. Coolidge for two hours.

Twenty-three persons, several of them-Americans,wero-killed when a motor omnibus plunged down this 250-foot-deep ravine near Saint-Sauveur-Les-Napoleon Bridge, in the Pyrences, in France. Seven others were seriously injured. The driver of the omnibus swerved to avoid hitting a woman emerging from the tunnel. There have been several other fatal automobile accidents since then in the Smunediate vicinity.
