Mrs Calvin Coolidge
Elevation to the exalted position of First Lady of the Lund bas in no way changed the home life of Mrs. Calvin Coolidge, who was caught unexpectedly by a photographer as she sat in her apartments, in the Temporary White House, fa Washington-the Hotel Willard--unos- tentatiously daraing a pair of Mr.. Laddie Boy
Unable to have Laddie Boy, her husband's pet Airedale dog, near. her, a constant reminder of her happier days, when her huishand was alive, Mrs. Warren G. Harding has presented the famous dog to Hiry Birker, the Secret Service man who had been detailed to guard her while she was First Lady of the Land. The dog, which had been presented to Mr. Harding by Charles W. Quetsche, of Toledo, O., was as much a pet of Mrs. Harding as he was of the President, but Mrs. Hurding felt she could not stand having the splendid animal with her after her husband's death.
