years ago Danbar modelled his statue to "Mammy," depicting a negro nurse holding her white ward, while others played about her skirts. A few months ago Zolnay produced his model of "Lest W Forget,"

showing as old negro nurse caring for white infant, while her own coloured child stood at her side, crying

for attention.
