The trial of the Patriarch had been set for April 10, but was postponed when the European Powers notified the Soviet they would break off all negotiations with Russin if the Patriarch were con~ demned to death. The charges against Tikhon are similar to those against the Roman Catholic clergy.

Miss Helene Mayes, 21-year-old salesgirl, was officially crowned dancing champion when she broke the recent record of 50 hours of continuous dancing made by Miss Alma 'Cumming. Miss Mayer was on the floor for more than 52 hours. She is shown here with one of her six dancing partners. However, her record lasted only a few

The first parade of the Order of American Women, female branch of the Ku Klux Klan, made an impressive showing. More than 7,500 women took part in the procession. The leaders of the masked organization are shown in a motor car leading the parade.

Several boys representing the British industries received invitations to attend the wedding of the Duke of York. Sidney Harrington was chosen from among the 350 boys in manufacturing plants to attend, while Horace Walter Gillard, employed by a building contructor, also {was invited.
