Dr. George A. Smallwood, physician and astrologer, has marrie Miss Caroline Bain. Dr. Smallwood, who is 61, has been studyin the stars for a long time, and he asserts that they brought about the happy event. This will be his third marital adventure. The bride is only 28.

The Duke of York and Lady Elizabeth-Bowes Lyon were married before this High Altar, in Westminster Abbey, London.

One of the bridesmaids at the marriage of Lady Elizabeth Bowes Lyon to the Duke of York was Lady Mary Cambridge, daughter of the Marquis of Cainbridge. Lady Mary has announced her own engage- ment to the Marquis of Worcester. Another of the bridesmaids was Lady Mary Thynne, daughter of the Marquis of Bath.

The Henry Ford boon for the American Presidency received a severe jolt when Mrs. Henry Ford told people in Georgia, where she was visiting with her husband, that she wouldn't live in the White House and that if Mr. Ford were elected he would have to go to Washington alone.

Jack Butler and Miss Ruth Mollock have established a new dance record by dancing uninterruptedly for 36 hours and 13 minutes. At the end of 20 hours Miss Molleck's feet needed the attention of a physi- cian, but she gamely kept going as soon as the doctor was through with his iodine.
