NEW JITNEY SERVICE NEXT WEEK
Commencing on, Thursday next, the Motor Cycle Exchange is to operate a jitney service, The first run will be froni the Ferry through Salisbury, Nathan and Mody Roads, Cornwall Avenue or Hanoi, Carnarvan, Kimberley, Austin Roads, Cox's Path, King's Cross, Nathan Road and back through Austin Road.
Residents of Nathan House, Em- press Lodge, Humphreys Bld,: Pratt Bld, Knutsford Terrace, Armand Bld., Canton Villas, Aimai Villas, Windsor Lodge, Park Side, Cambay Bid., Saifee Terrace, and visitors to the K. C.C. and Blue Funnel Clubs will be able} to get home or to their Clubs for 20 сеців..
If this line, with four motor cars running approximately every five minutes during the busy hours of the day, pays after a two weeks trial with European drivers, the Motor Cycle Exchange intends to branch out all over Kowloon and will also arrange a service on the Hongkong side. An option on thirty cars has already been arrang- ed.

News reached here yesterday of the death of Mr. T. W. Robert 03, formerly superintendent engineer of the Hongkong and Kowloon Wharf and Godowa Co. and of the Star Ferry. His death took place ia Victoria B. C.

The news cime as a great shock to his many friends here as, when Mr. Robertson' retired. in April 1922, he was in the best of health. Mr. Robertson took a keen jaterest in Kowloon affairs and was held ia Mauritiu high esteem by the engineers of the Cuba colony; at one time he was President Fort Bayard, Heino ani Haiphong of the Engineers' Institute. Much sympathy will be felt for his widow. and children in their bereavement.
