It was stated that a piece of rock. over two feet in length and a foot i In depth was hurled over a distanco of thirty feet into a house on the opposite side of the road. From the evidence it appears that cleven people were chatting in No. 28, Quarry Bay at 11 am. on March 20 when three stones fell in their midst. Four women received in- juries, a man had his coat torn and a small boy was cut over the eye.

Mr. E. Davidson, defending, suggested that the witnesses. had brought the stones into the house to bolster up their case. He also remarked that it was improbable that a rock of the size of the one produced would do no more damage than had actually been done.
