SUSTAINED FLYING RECORD.
·DAYTON, April 18, Lieutenants Macready and Kelly, starting in a Fokker monoplane on Monday, landed yesterday evening. They were aloft continuously 2,165 minutes and 20 seconds, covering 2,541 miles.
This is a new world record for sustained flying. It has also eclipsed the records of 2.500 kilometres in 1,297 minutes 32 seconds; 3,000 kilometres in 1,561 minutes 32 seconds; 3.500 kilometres in 1,828 minutes 51 seconds, and 4,000 kilometres in 2,106 minutes 38 seconds.
Lieutenant Harris, in a de Haviland 4B biplane, flew 653 minutes averaging 114 miles an hour, thus breaking the French records for 1,500 and 2,000
kilometres.

In the House of Commons, in answer to ques- tions, Mr. Chamberlain Neville mentioned that about 2,000 tons of liquid yoke egg from China had been condemmed as unsound by the London Authority in 1922. He did not know what proportion was due to an excessive amount of preservative.
