MR. H. W. BIRD'S WARNING.

In reply to further enquiries, by Mr. Sayce the Chairman stated that they wanted to keep the Com- pany in a position to cater for all work which it was liable to get and to do the work economically and quickly and to the satisfaction of its customers. The directors would do all they could to put the Com- pany In such a position.

Queries About Accounts. Mr. Sayce: How does your cash account stand? Have you got a creditora debit balance at the bank? There is nothing in the balance sheet to show this and I think in future it should be plainly shown I am surprised the auditors have passed this account as it stands in this respect.

The Chairman: It comes under the heading of sundry crédits, The sum total between debtors and creditors amounted to two million dollars.
