In the Paisne Judge's Court yester day afternoon a young Chinese wÀI charged with having been concerned with others, not in custody, in an armed robbery at the house of cinematograph dealer in Shanghai Street, Taumati, on January 20.

Mr. A. Dyer Ball, Arsistant Attorney General, described the case as one of robbery of an aggravated nature. Three armed robbers gained admittance to the house-st night by asking for Cheung Ping-tang, a man living in the house. Once Zin] the house, the robbers adopted the urasi modus operandi, and threatened to stab the inmates to death if they did not keep quiet. The robbers ransacked the house, and then escaped. Nine days later two of the male victims identified the
