CHINESE NEW-YEAR-HOLIDAYS,

On the 15 Inst. the G. P. O. and District Fost Offices will be entirely closed. There will be no delivery of correspondence or collection from the Pilar Boxes. Non-boxholders may, however, oblau their ordinary corrispondence on application at the Inquiry Counter at the South West entrance of the G. P. O.

On the 17 Inst the OrPO-will-be-open from 8 am to 9am. There will be one delivery of ordinary correspondence as on Snadays, and one delivery of regis tored correspondence at 3a.m. The District Uficer will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 6pm, to 6 p.m. with exception of Kowloon Office, which will be open from 8 8.m, to 8 a.m, only and bheungwan (ffice which will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 6.30 to 8 pm. There will be one delivery from District Offices

at noon.

"It may interest your readers-to hear that Articles were signed on the 10th instant for a fifteen round Lightweight Championship Contest and the "Godge" Belt between Stoker P. O. Morgan(Welterweight Champion of the Dolony and winner outright of the Boott-Harston" Welterweight Balt) and A. B. Chadwick, H. H. 8. Maration. Both men have an un- beaten record in the Colony, the latter having knocked out Leading Seaman Taylor in December 1921 and Teddy Neale on the lat April 1922 in the Arst round of what would have been a fifteen round Featherweight Cham- pionship Contest had not Neale soaled overweight. He also has bea ten O. 8. Larter and A. B. Hindle' on pointe. Chadwick was prevented from fighting Telegraphist Davies for the Lightweight Championship of the Colony at the last Tournament, owing to Davies being unable to train down to the weight.

Articles have also been signed by P. Ainsworth RMLI, to fight A. B. Duncan (the holder) for the Mid- dleweight Championshipof the Colony and the Hongkong Daily. Preu Belt. Ainaworth who has only recently in the Colony, very sportingly arrived fought O. P. 0.
