EARL CURZON PROPOSES REFERENCE TO LON.
LAUSANNE, Jazuary 23.
At the plenary session of the conference Earl Curzon proposed that the Motul question should be referred to the League of Nations, intimating that Britain was ready to abide by the result.
LATER.
On the resumption of the sitting Temet Pasha declared that Turkey wou'd not accept arbit ation regarding the disposal of any portion of Turkish territory. He proposed a plebiscite for Mosul. Earl Curzon re- jected the proposal saying that the case of Upper Bilesia, in spite of a plebiscite, eventually had to come before the League of Nations. Hence it wal better immediately to refer the question of Mosul to the League.
