A China Mail representative learns on inquiry this morning that the shipments of cattle and poultry are below the average. In the ordinary courss of events, stoppage should bove resulted in large stocks bordering on congestion ab Wuchow, the entrepot for the sur rounding producing districts. But this has not been the case owing to the farmers, apprehending trouble. Importers state, however, that the farmers have racommenced sending their stocks to Washow and usual shipments, to Hongkong can be ex posted in a few daye,
