A serious situation has arisen at Fukien the result of an effort by Generals Wang Yung Chune, Hsu Chung Chih and Lin Sen to obtain possession of the salt revenues lying in the banks at Amoy and Foochow
Advices from Fenclow state that they ara detaining the Chinese Salt Inspector there, and have appointed their own mau to replace him.
They have threatened to use force in order to obtain the transfer of the ant revenues, amounting in all to 2253,000 in S'pore, l'enang, Col'bo & B'bay.the Hongkong-Shanghai Bank, Amey $70,000 in the Hongkong-Shanghai Bank. Foochow and 880.000 in the Bank of China, Fooehow. The Foochow Manager of the Bank of China was arrested in order to force the surrender of the last mentioned sum,
