A SKILFUL DOCTOR
4th
am indebted to Dr. Esserieau,
Medical Official in charge of the French Hospital in Hoibow, for my life. I had a deadly abscess in the back near the lobe of my left lung. It was so deep that nothing could be seen. For the first few days I was under the treatment of Chinese doctors, whose remedies produced no effect. At last I consulted Dr. Esserteau, who diagnosticated that I had an abscess and had it operated. The operation was done in such a skilful manner that it was healed in a few days.
