The National Joint Labour Council, meeting in London to discuss the Near East crisis, passed a renolution demanding the immediate reignation of the Government and the election of a new parliament.

In response to General Harington's latter, Ismet Pasha intimated that he had ordered cessation of Turkish troop movements. He explained that the movements both at Ismid and at Clisaak were due to purely local orders.
REMOVING A MISUNDERSTANDING.
CONSTANTINOPLE, October 9.
The French and Italian generals returned from Mudania yesterday evening owing to differences between the British and French texts of instructions sent from Paris. After supplementary instructions had been asked for from Paris, London and Rome, the generals left at night for Mudania. It is hoped that a protocol will be signed as soon as further instructions have been received. Mustapha Kemal has been telegraphically urged to come to Mudania in order to lasten solution.
