There can be little doubt that Avebury, with its circles, fosse, and vallim, in referable to the late

Thirteen men were employed last April in the reexcavation of the great fosse at Avebury (the forse is inside, the vallam outside), on the East side of the Kennet Causeway, or southern ancient entrance of Avebury, which was proved in 1909.
